I had the pleasure of spending a week in Egypt.  Besides the obvious sites of the pyramids and Sphinx, I got to meet some of the locals and a few old-timers, i.e. Ramesses II.  They don't allow pictures of the great mummies, but you can get up close and see the guy that confronted Moses!

The Sphinx is as incredible as you think it is, but probably smaller relative to the pyramids than most movies tend to show it as.

I can cross Egypt off the bucket list.  Though that doesn't mean I won't return.  It was a great trip.  The people were very kind to me and my family.
